Forbidden City
After traveling through Tiananmen Square on a rainy July 17, 2009, we traveled through the center of the Forbidden City (the old Imperial Palace). During the times of the emperors, the ordinary perople were forbidden to enter the Imperial Palace and the palace was a city in itself of thousands of royalty and court officials, hence the name "Forbidden City".
