The Chinese trumpet creeper (Campsis grandiflora) has big bright flowers with a long florescence. The end of summer and the beginning of autumn sees its flower blooming at their height. It is mainly used for decorating arbors, lattice bowers, columns and doorways. This tree was planted after the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949. It adds to the beauty of the garden with its curly dragon-like branches and leafy canopy among the rockery. Below is a close-up of the flower.
